So August is here, and as promised, we have another contest for you! This one is sponsored by Tastycards.co, who kindly offered to send us 5 packs of their delicious postcards to give away.
How could we say no to this irresistible fusion of food, photography and postcards?
Tasty Cards feature mouthwatering pictures of food, from appetisers to desserts, taken by their talented photographers. The recipe used to make each postcard is on the back, and you can pick the language (English, Swedish and German available). Don’t worry, the cards are big (125 × 207 mm), so there’s still plenty of space to write your message!
Afraid the mail carrier will eat your brownies? Can’t send some soup across the world for a sick friend? Send it with one of these postcards! :)
To take part on this contest, visit Tastycards.co’s website and leave a comment below telling us which recipe you think they should add to their collection! Comments will be accepted until August 14th 11:59pm (GMT), and on the next day we’ll pick five winners at random. Good luck!

Getting hungry already - what a great store and wonderful cards! I would love it if they add oatmeal - raisin coockies to the assortiment; hard to get good recipes for those and hard to buy them here in Austria, so the only options is to bake them myself.
We´re loving Fantakuchen (Fanta-cake). Think it would be a good receipe.
A card with some syrupy but super crispy crackling and nutty, stuffed till almost bursting with pistachios Baklava would be a great addition to their collection. Or saraili, or kataifi or halva or.... just a pinch of eastern aroma!

Pumpkin pie :) Delicious, and semi-healthy... well, it does contain a vegetable!
siple american cheese cake is the best option for any occasion :)
I think some Asian dishes would make a great addition to their already wonderful collection, because I haven't seen too many of these. Some sushi, takoyaki and other famous recipes from Japan, Kung Pao chicken, Sichuan hotpot, dim sum, duck from China and all sort of others. I think it would also do great for their marketing strategy, trying to please people from all over the world through their postcards.
Insalata Caprese - lovely colors!
Wow, delicious cards! :) They should add apple pie!
I'm partial to breads, so I would love to see a cinnamon raisin bread there! Yummy!

Oh boy, I want these cards! Lots of different kinds of bread - or a big banana split!
What about a German "Brezel"?:)
"Massaman Curry" from Thailand has just been ranked #1 in world's 50 most delicious foods hosted by CNNgo.com. Perhaps Tastycards.co would like to add it to their collection. :)

Tastycards.co should add Crème brûlée recipe :) I love this dessert!

The Mushroom and cheese pie looks very appetising and deserves a place on a card...
Tarte Tatin from apples with some vanilla ice cream. Yummie!
I'd love to see some chili stew :)
A recipe for Caipirinha would be nice, or watermellon granita :)
I have 2 recommendations: Recipes for hummus, and key lime pie! :)
I think they should add a recipe that I find really funny, is called "Mozartkugeln", which means, literally, "Mozart ball's". Oh, yes! That "balls"! They may sound "strange" but they are soooooooo delicious, with all the chocolate and marzipan. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will be proud of having his name on these sweets! :-)
Mais, ou est la Crawfish etouffee?
i think they should add Turkish baklava. it is my favourite.
How about a recipe for German Cheese and Whipping Cream Cake?
Or Icelandic Devil's cake (Djöflaterta)?
There are so many nice recipe they could add :)
They need vegetarian main dishes! Perhaps lacquered tofu with asparagus.
There was a suggestion on one Tastycard page to use their recipe cards as a party invitation and circle one ingredient the guest should bring. Then the dish would be made by all at the party. Great idea!
A traditional and marvelous FEIJOADA with the famous CAIPIRINHA
My favorite desert is "kirjukoer" I don't know its English name. Direct translation is "spotted dog" but this something else. "kirjukoer" looks like this http://www.toidutare.ee/img/retsept/c6b8f1a9b57bd4b.jpg
It is so jummy... And looks very good on picture :)
I think a Moroccan vegetable tagine would look great on one of those cards :)
Creamy mushroom soup!
A cup of cocao!
Carrot cupcakes! ^^
I would like to suggest a Pennsylvania Whoopie Pie
Those cards are really pretty. I love food cards more then anything. They just put a smile on most people faces. :D
Thinking of something delicious and something that looks pretty on a postcard at the same time.
Cakepops came to my mind. I will add the link to a page which show nice pictures of those. ^^ There are just so many options to decorate them. :DD
http://www.bakerella.com/hope-these-put-a-smile-on-your-face/
http://www.bakerella.com/street-party/
oh. I forgot. Marmelade(jelly/jam). :D
Just delicious. ^^
I think they should add gyro soup and tomato soup :)
Shepard's Pie would make a gorgeous postcard!
They only have two soups, so I'm going to say one of my favories - MInastrone Soup
I think it will make people very happy (and hungry) if you send out these ones
It would be nice if there'd be a postcard with toast and scrambled eggs on it. I love it and its the right food when you feel hungover, sad or ill.
So yummy! Delicious cards! I would add some Tofu recipes, or some vegetarian recipes...
Awesome postcards! I think they should add marshmallow recipe, because people just don't know how easy they are to make!
A cream covered cupcake with a strawberry on top. Strawberries always look and taste delicious and creamy cupcakes are divine!
My favourite cocktail - Long Island Iced Tea :-)
Btw great postcards :-)
They have got only 2 soups! They should add Soup "nothing":
Boil half a liter of milk in a flat, wide saucepan. Separate white part from egg yolks, whisk with a pinch of salt to stiff peaks. At the boiling milk (on low heat) lecture whites with a spoon. Now whisk the egg yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar. Store for the rest of the milk and continue Beat yolks, adding a little boiling milk.
Some Japanese cuisine would be a nice edition. Sushi or Tempura, or even bento!
A seafood chowder would be an excellent choice, I think.
Mac and Cheese!!! :-)
Tiramisu of course!:)
Looks delicious!! My recomendations would be
- creme brulee
- falafels
- salvadorean quesadilla (completely different from the mexican one. Our quesadilla is a sweet pastry)
- the obbligatory pupusas
- sopa de gallina india
Yeah, only two soups is a pity. And some well-known national foods may be nice.
For example, Okroshka - ukrainian/russian cold soup, lots of vegetables, very good in summer. Or Green borsh - a modify of usual borsh, added season greens, also very good, tasty and full of vitamins.
Holodets (minced jellyed meat) is great too. It might be interesting for people from other countries.
Pirojki(patties) - fried or baked, with different stuffing from meat and potatoes to berries
An icecream recepie would also be nice
Kompot - stewed fruit
The cards look very tasty:)
I would love if they add Tiramisu :)!
How about Chicken Noodle Soup - always satisfying and comforting to those who have a cold or flu. And it can make an attractive soup!
Red beans and rice
Jambalaya
Gumbo!
From a Southern Gal
Strawberry-cake or any dessert with strawberries. Great cards...
I would add Cheese Cake and Polish Pierogi.
They should have a recipe for shoofly pie! Or maybe chicken corn soup.
Great postcards!
I would add a recipe for pastéis de nata probably. Didn't see that one. Sushi would also be great, plus that would look good on a postcard as well!
Styrian Backhendlsalat, a salad with deep fried chicken and pumpkinseed-oil and Spagatkrapfen.
Well, there was Slovenian soup Jota mentioned above, but I would have to say Wallnut Potica - Slovenian cake or Idrijski žlikrofi (special Idrija dumplings)... Prekmurska gibanica is also tempting (funny way to translate it would be Over Mura moving cake)....
I suggest them add Tiramisu, some Chinese food like spring rolls, hot pot~~~
Pizza will be fine, I think!!
What do you think about apple pie - autumn is coming soon!!
It would be fab to see top Australian chef Peter Gilmour's fantastic looking dessert the Snow Egg - it's got guava, vanilla custard, meringue... and is complicated to make, but it looks (and apparently also tastes) amazing!!
Wow. I'm drooling! Hands down, they need to add to the dessert section, and the perfect thing would be a chocolate molten cake. The liquid texture oozing out from the spongey cake would make a fantastic juxtaposition of textures on the image.
And then if they could add the "scratch and sniff" patch to the chocolate image... well, I would die and go to heaven! :P
Thanks for the opportunity to win yummy cards! :)
German "Brezenknödel" or "Semmelknödel" (dumplings made from Pretzels or bread rolls)
Czech beef gulas served with bread dumplings! Such a warm, hearty, and comforting dish! :)
Singapore favorite food Laksa and Chicken Rice. So when will the post card send to me?

They should add "Death By Chocolate", an awesome dessert made at The Trellis in Williamsburg, Virginia! :-)
A curry recipe would be great!
Chocolate mousse!
I love Strawberries and they only have 1 card with a strawberry recipe, so I would vote for more strawberry recipes like pies, cakes and smoothies!

Great cards!
Wow! Those postcards seem delicious, hehe :D
I think they could add "Tiramisu", it's my favourite dessert (YUMMY!)
Why isn't the site opening for me?!
Anything that contains pineapple... ☺
mmm These look really good!
I would add chocolate dipper beaver tail dusted lightly with icing sugar. Don't worry it is not made from real beaver tails it is a Canadian donut/pastry in the shape of a beaver tail.
I would add a recipe for stroopwafels. A lot of people like them, but you can't buy 'm just anywhere. But it's easy to make them yourself so that's why.
I vote for a classic, like extra-thick cinnamon rolls or monkey bread. They look as good as they taste! Mmm...
mmm.. Bananas Foster!
Devon cream tea is a must. No cheating by buying scones from a shop - make your own. They are very easy to make and much tastier. Use strawberry jam, spread it on thickly add the clotted cream, as much as you like! Yummy!!
I vote for a romanian main course - filled peppers (with chopped meat) yum!! :D
They need to add some ravioli! Pasta is always a love!

yummmmy, they must add chocolate Malva pudding
Truffade (recipe Auvergne based potato, Cantal (Auvergne cheese), garlic, a bit of duck fat) is delicious!
A pizza card or even better they must make the "postcrossing food set". 6 postcards with a recipe from each continent like a pizza from europe, currydish from asia, bobotie or couscous from Africa, zucchini soup or pavlova from Austratlia/New zealand, brownies from north america and a nice grilled argentinian steak from south america. I'm already getting hungry!
Thai noodle salad sounds delicious :)
Strawberry Daiquiri :))))
Carelian Pastries.!
I really miss Salzburger Nockerl!
Mmmm mmm good. Nice looking cards. Glad I ate lunch already or I'd be heading out to splurge on something decadent. I would add an Apple Crisp recipe made with tart, crisp apples and served over vanilla ice cream.

Well, from the ones I´ve seen on the webpage I´d vote for bread - yesterday I made my very first home-made loaf of bread and it was great.
As a hint what else to offer - I´d definitely love a card with some ice-cream. My very favourite is double chocolate :-) or at least stracciatella, but any sort would do :-) and the fruity ones are quite easy to make at home...

granny's jam jars with spots and taste of summer
I could go for a card with a recipe for Italian Wedding Cookies. Or a nice vegetarian lentil soup.

Here are my top four Mexican meals (super simple to make) for a last meal on Earth:

Mmmm, all I know is the Pistachio Fudge and Amaretto Truffles suddenly made me very hungry!!
I've seen something similar to the Amaretto Truffles before - we call them "Buckeyes" and they're usually just peanut buttery here.
I'm not sure what I could add to their list though...I'm not much of a cook at all. :( Maybe some interesting shish-ka-bobs with fresh grilled veggies included?
apple pie
They should do a "real" New York Cheesecake!
Pizza al Limoni, desert pizza using lemon juice and icing sugar
Key Lime Pie :)
For those who like an adventure, Tortilla soup is just the right thing topped with a bit of guacamole or alvacado slices served with nacho chips. It can be made with beef or chicken, or just with the vegetables, spices, and tomatoes. You can make it very spicy or mild depending upon your taste. Great dish from the Soutwestern part of the United States!! This would make a great addition for a more international flavor.

Italy, I love you ;)
My goodness, these cards are YUMMY! My mouth is watering, just looking at them. I truly believe that the Dutch 'appelflappen' would be a very good addition to the 'snack line'. Very easy to make, very tasty! All you need is puffy pastry, apple (preferably the "Goudrenet", cinnamon and sugar. Slice the apple into small pieces, add the cinamon and sugar. Put the mix onto the pastry, fold it into a triangle and put this in the oven... You can eat them hot & cold, whatever you prefer. The smell is to die for.. Enjoy! :)
Spanish omelette (potatoes omelette) really tasty!
Why not some "Ovos Moles" ("soft eggs"), from Aveiro?
They'd look gorgeous in those cards :)
I would like to see Frankfurt Green Sauce with eggs on one of the postcards.
The Crazy Philippine Halo-Halo! :D
I would like to see the dutch doughnut on a card. Here in holland we call it an 'oliebol'. It's tradition to eat it at new years eve and you can also always buy it on a fun fair. Very delicious!
