About Sharon...

I am inactive for now. I got a bit overzealous and failed to keep up with scanning cards I received. Once I finish this project, I'll pick it up again.

Thank you for making my mailbox happy!

** I am unable to participate in direct swaps at this time. Requests for direct swaps will not be answered. Sorry.

If your postcard arrived with that pesky white strip applied by the US Post Office, it should just peel right off. :-)

I grew up outside of Chicago, but have lived in Las Vegas since 1993.
I am a registered nurse in a non-clinical finance/compliance department in a hospital. I share my home with my 4 black cats (a rescued family with a mama kitty and 3 of her kittens I've had since 2001.) I am learning more about photography and love to travel. Thanks to Postcrossing, I have learned about many places I now want to visit. My new dilemma is whether I want to travel to new places or to go back to places I know I love.

Please put the date you are writing the card. That way I can see how long it really took to get to me.

I am happy to receive anything you think I will enjoy. Some of my favorites are (in no particular order):

* views of your city/town/country
* tourist attractions
* landscapes/scenery
* Disney
* 3-D cards
* cats (especially black cats)
* cartoons (especially Simon's Cat, Garfield, Snoopy)
* map cards
* smiley faces
* sports (I'm a big fan of the Chicago Cubs baseball team, Arkansas Razorbacks and NASCAR auto racing)
* handmade cards or drawings

Please no ad cards, gory, adult, nude or "mature" postcards.

Even though I live in Las Vegas, I'm collecting postcards from all of my travels in the USA to use for Postcrossing. I also now have friends and relatives shopping for postcards for me from all over the world! I got some awesome postcards from a recent trip to Australia, and I inherited postcards from Europe, China and Israel from a friend. I may send you a postcard of a different part of the country or the world, but I will always try to select one that I think you will like. I try to respect the wishes of those who prefer their postcards sent in an envelope, but I often cannot find an envelope big enough for the postcard I want to send.

If I put my return address on a card sent to you, I do not expect a card in return. I'm just hoping that it will be returned back to me in case it cannot be delivered to you for some reason (like I forgot to put the stamp on it!)
