About Myriam...

Hi, I'm 31 years old and from Germany.
I can't describe me very well, but others say I'm most of the time friendly and polite, but can also be very sarcastic/ironic and obnoxious.
I like to get mail from all over the world, and force all my friends who go on vacation to write me letters and postcards.

I'm a big fan of Japan (love japanese architecture, kimono, food, and am interested in its culture as well) and also like New Zealand, Denmark and Norway very much.
My hobbies are reading, painting, riding, sewing, crafts and chatting with my friends.
Chocolate is the drug of my choice and I am very much addicted to it - though cake is definitely a close second place. I also love baking and cooking, though doing so for a single person is not as much fun (the calories!).
I'm reading very very much, so I can't name a favourite book, but most of what I read is fantasy. I also like quite a few movies, and I love The Lord of the Rings and am so glad it has been filmed (and I'm always waiting for the Dragonrider series by Anne McCaffrey being made into a movie series..).

I like postcards with landscapes, old buildings, historical scenes, landscapes... and in winter I'd love cards with snow! Also like funny or cute cards or some with animals. Please don't send me cards with naked people or violence on it.
I'd be very happy if someone sends me a birthday card on May, 2nd. And if someone from Japan is writing me, I'd love to get seasonal cards like turning maple leaves, cherry blossoms, summer festivals/fireworks (also traditionals architecture, tatami, Kimono/traditional arts, Geiko/Maiko, ...). Also, for people from countries celebrating Chinese New Years: I love those cards, they're always so pretty!
I also like nice stamps, and prefer my cards without an envelope. And please write something on the card, I'm always happy to get a little personal message. A little something about you, the area you live in, the weather, a little recepie for something tasty...

And another thing coming to my mind is I'm searching for penpals. So if you think I'm interesting, please ask for my adress and write me a letter. But be aware, it can happen I'm starting to ask a lot of (perhaps silly) questions^^

~~~~~
I'll register cards as soon as I get them.
I'll also scan and upload the card, but sometimes my scanner won't work or I'm lazy so it might take a few days.
