About Jd...
Hi, I am a professional nanny who loves to knit, crochet, quilt, read, travel, 'wheresgeorge.com' and all sorts of other things. The kids I take care of love to get all sorts of postcards from all over the world. We have a world map on the wall marking where we have received them from.
I/we love to get all sorts of cards, especially animals; also city/landscapes and book/reading themes, just remember to please keep them child friendly. The kids have requested castles, princesses and dragons too. :) Now that Halloween is nearing, 'spooky' cards are on our list...bOO EEk ;) We do love all the cards sent to us, so send what makes you smile.
Also, if you can't think of anything to say--tell us what the weather is like where you are at today.
Thanks and happy postcrossing to all, Jd
As I travel a bit, I pick up cards from all over. So, depending on requests, you may get a card from somewhere other than my hometown, like:
Summer 2008: spent time in Washington state, New Mexico, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Summer 2009: a weekend with friends in/on Cape Cod
Summer 2011: Day trip to Martha's Vineyard, MA, and a weekend on Nantucket, MA
Summer 2012: more cape cod
Summer 2013: Block Island RI and Maine
Summer 2014: Niagara Falls NY
Summer 2015: Vermont
Summer 2016: Cambridge MA and Harvard University, my new home
I also have a large collection of "art cards" so depending on requests, you may get one of them.
April 2011, I am moving, and when I changed my address at the local post office was told that I may have some 'undeliverable' mail in the dead letter bin. I spent over an hour going through it all and sure enough, I received many postcards with obscured addresses. Unfortunately they were too old to register. So if you sent me a card and it was never registered, these are the codes I have:
FR-52131 from Angelina
US-571414 from Katherine
TW-103608 or 105608 from Moonie
IE-7863 from Esther
NL-257810 from Ilse
FR-73677 from Flora
LV-11036 from Anne
Such a shame that I cannot register them, but at least I finally have them; have a beautiful day, Jd
June 2011, 2013 and again in 2016, a new address for myself. :)
October 2016: If you have sent a card that may have 'arrived' from Oct 2 through Oct 19, please let me know. I received absolutely no mail during that time. The day after I informed the post office of this, postcards started arriving again. hmmmm
Peace to ALL, Jd
