I live by the forest. I like to pick berries, listen to the birds, enjoy the smell of the forest, bicycle or walk around there. I do also love everything related to the sea; wild life, the power of nature, costal landscape, sunsets/-rises....
When travelling somewhere, I like to visit museums (not art museums, I find them boring), aquariums etc. And just walk around, having a look at the place. I'm not the kind of person who would go on a holiday just to spend the entire days on the beach! I rather learn about culture, history, local food etc!
I volunteer in various activities in Red Cross. It gives me joy and challenges. And it's a great way to meet people as well.
I love to read and I do especially like to read fantasy/fiction, historical books, and books about animals for instance. If I find an interesting book, especially if it's on sale, I tend to buy it. So I've got a huge pile of unread books. I'm doing bookcrossing, and I love the reading challenges there!
One of my current knitting projects is to knit rectangular pieces of wool yarn for warming blankets that will be given to cancer patients. The project is called "Ull og omtanke". If you have some left over, 100% wool yarn that you want to get rid of, you can send it to me.
I would like to travel in time, as long as I could get back to our own time. I think I'd only travel backwards in time though, as I don't want to know about future wars etc! It would be an interesting way to learn more about history. I'd like to go the viking age for instance and learn how the vikings navigated their ships. And I'm curious about how their society worked, how their daily life was etc. And it would be interesting to go back in time and visit the places I've lived. What did the look like 90 years ago or 1000 years ago?
I love postcards with long messages! Suggestions for writing: https://forum.postcrossing.com/member.php?action=viewpro&member=Norway_girl
