HURRAAAAAAAAAY!!! We’ve been waiting a looooong time to share this news: the United States Postal Service is issuing some shiny new Postcrossing stamps! Woohoo!
It’s been a long road to get here: many of you have written to the USPS Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee over the years to ask for a Postcrossing stamp, and we’ve also been working with USPS behind the scenes for quite a while to make this happen. It’s finally happening, and what a huge honor it is for the community. A proper celebration of the joy, generosity, and curiosity that postcrossers put into the world every day.
Anyway, let’s talk about the stamps themselves… because: TRIANGLES! 😍
The new Postcrossing stamps are triangular, which is a pretty rare format for USPS. And yes — that means you can place one right on the corner of a postcard for an especially cool look. Since there are four different stamps to choose from, you won’t always be sending (or receiving) the same ones.
Visually, they’re a lot of fun: bold colors and playful scenes with lots of tiny details. They were designed by Antonio Alcalá and illustrated by Jackson Gibbs, and the result is energetic, bright, and unmistakably Postcrossing.
The launch day is May 26, 2026, and there will be a commemorative ceremony at the the Boston 2026 World Expo — and everyone’s invited! Even better: there will be Postcrossing meetups every day of the show (which is free!), so bring postcards, say hi, and let’s celebrate together.
We’ll share more details (including meetup info and other products that will be available along with the stamps) as we get closer to the date. But for now, we’re just going to sit here grinning at these gorgeous triangles for a while.
USA postcrossers: are you ready? And everyone else: who’s hoping to receive one of these on a postcard very soon?

Congratulations!!! :)
Lovely design, wonderful stamps. Looking forward to receiving them all eventually. ;)
Wow! Such cool news! Congratulations postcrossing! Congratulations USA postcrossers! Congratulations to all of us! I can't wait to receive a postcard with this stamp!!!
Yayyy, finally!!!! I loveeee it!!! Can't wait to receive cards with the new stamps!
Why is the word "forever" crossed out?
@Gaiasduhter So that people don't take these images and "print" fake stamps 😅 The real stamps won't have the word crossed out.
I need them, pronto!
Yay to everyone who wrote in to the authorities asking for a Postcrossing stamp 😄
Wow, those are amazing!
Oh wow, they look wonderful 😍
Congratulation for new postcrossing stamps!
I can't believe it! And such great design too! Do you know when they will be ready for pre-order?
@bunnywithatoolbelt I don't know yet, but I will ask! :)
Could this be the magic at last? 😁
This is awesome! I never thought the USPS would release Postcrossing stamps, but I am glad that they did. I look forward to adding these to my collection of stamps that I use on my postcards.
How exciting!!! I'm so glad that the persistence has paid off! Can't wait to stock up on these.
Amazing! I wrote the advisory committee a couple years ago about a Postcrossing stamp and received no response. Glad to learn that they were listening to us after all!
So so happy!!
I’m guessing global forever rate? This will be so nice! I take up so much room using multiple stamps to avoid the round globals that everyone seems to hate :D
I don't think we could have dreamed up a more perfect Postcrossing stamps for the US. GREAT NEWS!!
Lovely! 🥳🎉👍🏻
Beautiful stamps! I'm glad to see your date stamp says 31st March! I'm reading this on 1st April, and I thought you were pulling our collective legs!! 🤣
Wow! Very nice! And there's even one with a motorcycle! Great!
Are these going to be Global Letter Forever, or cheaper Global Postcard Forever?
Oh wow, thank you for this interesting information! The stamps look gorgeous, really!!! It will be so much fun to send or / and to receive it!
@Tur The US does not have a global postcard rate, so these are for international letters and postcards both.
I'm so excited! These are beautiful! YAY! Congrats to all involved to make this happen! :D
So exciting! I am really surprised that this is happening! Perfect time to release it as the World Expo. These will be fun to send and a nice change from the round forever international stamps that have been issued for the past few years.
According to the release "These stamps will have a postage value equivalent to the price of the single-piece First-Class Mail International first-ounce machinable letter at the time of use"
Whoa, how cool! So exciting to have a Postcrossing stamp available here soon and love that it’s triangular, that’s so fun!
😭😭😭 dream come true! Thank you to everyone who wrote and worked to make this happen. ❤️❤️❤️
Ana and Paulo, will you both be coming to Boston?? 👀
Congratulations US Postcrossers for achieving success with a campaign that you ran for such a long time. Well Done!
I will admit to some stamp envy! But, that will be cancelled as soon as I get my first USPS Postcrossing stamp on a postcard. :-)
I wonder if they will do a domestic one too since those are for international mail. Woo Hoo!
This is awesome news! Can’t wait to buy tons of sheets!
Triangle shaped is so fun! I'm so excited
This is amazing! I had just about given up hope!
I wrote to the USPS last fall and got an answer that they were working on it but were very non-committal. I'm so happy to see this and can't wait to start sending them to my Postcrossing friends everywhere!
This has been a long time coming! Many letters, postcards have been sent to get to this point and I appreciate that Postcrossing has been working behind the scenes to make this a reality! Finally, some good news for American snail mail lovers. Not sure this is enough to keep USPS solvent but we will keep trying!
Proof that anyone can make a difference… I’ve seen many people campaigning for this even though Ive only been on here for less than a year!
YEAH!!! So happy to hear some good news from the USPS!! Can't wait to start using these cool stamps. Congrats to everyone who persistently campaigned for this special stamp!
Good news from the USPS - I hope to get this really nice stamps!
