PostEurop is once again hosting their yearly competition to choose the best EUROPA stamp of the year!
Have you seen the new stamps yet? The theme for 2014 is National Musical Instruments, and each country has the chance to showcase their musical heritage. Here are some of them:
Aren’t they great? From street organs to stone harps, bagpipes, horns, saxophones, flutes, drums… The European musical traditions are all present and very well represented, so we predict that this year’s competition will be a tight race!

AUSTRIA! - Have you watched this years New Years Concert from the Golden Hall in Vienna with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchester? One of the pieces was with a Zither-Solo! Loved it! - But: there are many very nice stamps! And I'd love to receive one from everywhere! :)

To my mind, the most bright and colourful stamp is from Luxembourg but the most elegant stamp is from the Aland Islands. I like them better. :)

That's so difficult... it's a wonderful subject this year. And I see how much diverse we are, and at the same tiem how many things we share. I specially like the "muppets" from Madeira; but the Cyprus stamp is beautifully designed too.
..this year I vote for Andorra, although all of the stamps are special ones ;o)

Maybe not the most beautiful stamp (even though it is nice) but how not to vote for it when commemorates such a man?

I LoVe the color, composition, style, & humor in the stamp :D It made me sm:)e and yet had an elegance to its design!

I chose Aland too! I really like the design of the piano, and I play piano too...so naturally..thats what I chose :)
I voted for Finland. Not because I'm from Finland myself but because I like the style and colours, and the sound of kantele.

Wow, this was hard. Aland is beautiful, Switzerland is really cool too, and so is Iceland and many more others. In the end, I voted for Luxembourg because it was so colourful and represented not only the instrument but the tradition as well.

Åland because the great overall design of the stamp and because it commemorates Alie Lindberg.
My choice is Monaco, I love the design of the stamp and also because I have never heard a Mandolin played.

And I have never heard of instrument showed on Polish stamp, I'm Polish... I don't know what it is.
I'm a huge fan of our Dutch barrelorgan, but I like the picture and the atmosphere on the stamp of Serbia more, so I voted for Serbia!

I voted for Spain to cherish the great musician Paco de Lucia.
I voted for Spain, in respect for the guitar player Paco de Lucia who was not only a great Spanish guitar and Flamenco player but a great musiician who brought us the fusion of Flamenco with Jazz and many other styles. A big loss for us musicians and for the delight of the whole world.
