About Samz...

G'day from the Land Down Under!

I enjoy spending time with my family, walking, geocaching, photographing flowers, watching sci fi TV and movies, and making felt hearts (www.1000hearts.com.au).

I shared postcrossing with my boys so they could learn about the world & swap blank postcards. I've been doing it so long they're now all grown up. I still love it!! If you wish, please send your card blank in an envelope (if it doesn't cost more) with a letter about you. Add your typed or neatly written address so I can send a return thank you card!

What you send and how you send it is totally up to you! Every card is a surprise and welcomed. No stress :)

We live in our young nation's (and ancient land's) capital city - Canberra - love wide open spaces, enjoy travel and look forward to your postcard very much. We are very proud of Australia's first peoples who are the longest continuous living culture on Earth.

I am happy for any card you send - only if you want to, I particularly like:
* nature cards (volcanoes, trees, flowers, mountains, beaches, lakes waterfalls, landscapes, birds, wild animals)
* sunsets and sunrises
* beautiful coloured skies
* interesting architecture
* astronomy
* modern art/design cards
* single image cards
* celebrations of diversity & inclusion (as I'm a D&I champion)

Please remember the date and add your postcrossing ID.

Australia is a long way from most places and COVID means we don't have as many planes coming/leaving so mail takes longer - please write AIRMAIL on the card and if you're unlucky your card will come by sea and take 90-150 days to arrive. I usually register cards within a few days of receiving them.

Happiness, stay safe and thanks for your card :)

Samz

For Direct Swappers:

I currently swap/correspond with more than 80 postcrossers :)

I have put previously some of my cards available for trade:
www.flickr.com/photos/15528383@N06/sets/
www.flickr.com/photos/aronde/
you can choose Australian maxi cards (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maximaphily) from www.australiapost.com.au or search eBay.com.au (I have many maxis)
and you're also welcome to ask about my sent cards on this and my other CamJP account (taken over from my son).

I am happy to direct swap provided you have something I'd like:

a) I can send single or multiple cards stamped
b) I can swap multiple blank post cards in envelope
c) We will send one maxi card at a time (if you want blank we send in a clear packet as postage already paid).

I love to receive blank cards in an envelope/plastic packet. Please write your ID and neat/typed address.

I prefer new people requesting swaps to send theirs first. I will send mine once yours arrive. Please don't be offended - it's because I've been disappointed when promised cards don't arrive and people don't respond to my email.

Do give me a few days to respond to your requests. If it's been a while email me.
