For almost a decade and a half, our community has been diligently mailing postcards and trusting that these will slowly but surely make their way into the recipient’s mailboxes… but what do these mailboxes look like? How does YOUR mailbox look like?
On Postcrossing’s 15th anniversary, we have a mission for you: show the world your own happy mailbox! Grab a camera and your postcards, and take a selfie with your mailbox (ie, the place where you receive your postcards). Then, upload it to our wall of awesomeness! 😍

I like most people here just have a small white pvc or wooden letterbox in the door so no exciting mailboxes like some countries have.
@aerobear @Tranchile No matter how plain your mailboxes may be (like ours is), we still want to see them! :) They're our little windows to the world!
Sniff I don't have a mailbox, I get mail from a postman to the hand. I miss the times when I lived in a block of flats and I could go down to the mailbox every day and see if there is something to me!
@Lavonq Maybe your postman would be amenable to taking a photo with you, for the special occasion? :)

I've put up a picture of my lovely Postwoman Aibhin delivering today's post to my letterbox. Aibhin is a wonderful lady and will marry my best friend's son in 2022.
This is a wonderful way to celebrate 15 glorious years of Postcrossing.

I haven't check my PO Box for 3 months and 11 days because of covid situation. I plan to go to Post Office next week. Can't wait to take a photo of my small PO Box full with postcards and letters :)

Happy birthday Postcrossing! Mailboxes are great - both where people mail and receive their cards. However for me the most charming part of the photographs are people - up close and personal. So wonderful!

It has been my hobby no. 1 for over a year now, it is so wonderful to draw an address, choose a postcard... and imagine the recipient smiling when my postcard reaches his mailbox. And it is just as wonderful to open your mailbox and find postcards in it.
It is much more than just a hobby, it is my new love, my vice, my addiction.

Happy 15th Anniversary!!! My mailbox is plain but opening the mailbox every day has a sense of ritual and I have anticipation of surprises from all over the world. I told every Chinese pcer this morning about this activity. I will upload it soon.

Super idea! I dressed my mailbox up for the occasion and uploaded a picture of it today. It’s fun and interesting to see the diversity of mailboxes across the Postcrossing community.
Looking at all these photos and smiles brought me SO MUCH JOY! It's amazing how a simple postcard with a few lines on it written by hand can shine someone's day! A big hello to every postcrosser out there! Have a good day!!!
