Weekend giveaway: PostCarden
Remember PostCarden, the postcard + garden combo? Another Studio for Design, the company behind this lovely invention has just come up with MatchCarden, a garden in a little matchbox!
Aren't they the cutest? We wouldn't mind growing a few of these on our desks!
To celebrate this new launch, they're offering a set of PostCardens (includes 4 cards: Allotment, City, Football and Botanical) to one lucky postcrosser. To participate, visit their site, and tell us:
What architectural building from your country do you think should be turned into a PostCarden or MatchCarden?
Answers on the comments, until midnight September 3rd UTC. Good luck!

Very cool1
I would LOVE to see the Alamo from my hometown of San Antonio, Texas. It has the right shape for a card, and folks in colder climates and play in their mini-garden and "Remember the Alamo"!
Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C.
Le Chateau de Versailles, France :)
I always thought it was a beautiful building. Both the inside and outside are amazing.
It would also be funny to see a Postcarden from 'Manneken Pis'. One of the most bizar monuments in Belgium. :D
in So. Berwick Maine
The 1774 Georgian house features fine paneling, original 18th and 19th century wallpapers and period furnishings. Author Sarah Orne Jewett was born in the house in 1849.

1. the Chi Lin Nunnery/Nan Lian Gardens in Diamond Hill, Hong Kong. It's Tang Dynasty architecture, with a lot of great gardens around it. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chi_Lin_Nunnery)
2. King Yin Lei on Stubbs Road. (http://www.conservancy.org.hk/heritage/KYL_E.htm), or;
3. Just a "generic" pagoda like the one found at the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery in Shatin.
Thank you for this great giveaway! :)

For start, I think that they shold use image of former monastry in Wigry (north-east Poland). It is marvelous, still gives me creeps when I visit this place, surrounded by lakes and forests.

It should be very beautiful
The best choice for PostCarden, cause the real garden in Sanssouci is in form of a terrace.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanssouci
For me it's a symbol of 'coming home' whenever I see it after travelling.
or just a traditional, red and tiny Finnish summer cottage.!
From my hometown it can be Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, the biggest in Russia with special form of cupola.
I'm from Switzerland...and honestly I didn't spontaneousley know any building really typical for Switzerland. BUT I really enjoy Lenzburg castle. I work there from time to time, too. (Images: http://www.schlosslenzburg.ch/index.asp)
Or Wildegg castle - as this castle has a really nice garden with different vegetables, flowers and so on. ;-)
What would also be nice is the Bundeshaus. (This is the building where our parlament is placed.)
ps. 'my' country is Italy where i am moving back in 1 month

If I could pick more than 1 building; the centre of Ålesund (build in Art Nouveau style).

If I had to choose a building, I would either pick the "Kölner Dom" (cologne cathedral) or the Hercules monument in Kassel.

:D
I think it should be turned into a MatchCarden the "Golden Gate" - a symbol of capital of Ukraine the city of Kiev (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Gate,_Kiev).
Everybody in Ukraine knows this building because it has great history.
Or if that´s too unknown than maybr Big Ben From London England?
Hands Down !
THe world largest spherical building.
I would love to buy one myself when it's available!

I think it would look very nice :)
Best regards, Michelle, Cape Town, South Africa
The Evoluon (Eindhoven), the soccer stadium from PSV. (Eindhoven) The Dom tower (Utrecht), the Martini tower (Groningen)or even a windmill, all very Dutch and very famous (in the Netherlands)
But thinking internationally, I would definitely vote for Palladio's Villa Rotonda near Vicenza, Italy.
