About Julie...

Hello!

My name is Julie and I'm a married, full-time mum to my son, Nigel, who just turned 3 years old. He loves Postcrossing as much as his Mummy does and adores looking at all the different cards we get in the mail. :)

As far as types of postcards go, I'm open to anything - surprise me! I do have a 'wishlist' that would make me especially happy, but that's not a requirement by any means. I'll be just as thrilled with any postcard you choose for me...:)

Read on, if you're curious about the wishlist!

~ Cards showing the rock band 'Queen' - especially pictures of Freddie Mercury. Or cards with English singer, Kate Bush.

~ I love anything to do with history, especially Medieval history. Pictures of castles, cathedrals, churches, important historical dates, etc, would be wonderful.

~ I adore black & white and vintage photography (especially with a gothic or old-fashioned atmosphere - cemeteries, beautifully carved gravestones, interesting architecture, Victorian children, street scenes)

~ Anything to do with books, libraries, children's book illustrations (especially Alice in Wonderland)

~ Trains - Pictures of steam locomotives, famous railway systems.

~ Anything sci-fi/fantasy related. Space, moon and stars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Fairies, dragons, wizards, mythological creatures...

~ Art - Especially 'folk' type art with whimsical little characters and critters - cows, sheep, cats, owls (my son LOVES owls!) etc.

Just check my favorite postcards for ideas! And if you're stuck for what to write, here's some hints: a favorite recipe, the latest book you read and why you liked it, a 'day in the life' of yourself, the funniest joke you know, a special dream or aspiration you have...Have fun with writing!

Considering that I'd like to collect stamps too, I'd prefer if postcards could be sent in an envelope, if possible. If not, no worries - I'll love your beautiful postcard just the same! :)

Cheers and thank-you...
