About Mia...

Greetings from Wales, a part of the United Kingdom. I do not live in England, although I was born there.

I am 39 years old. I have a son who is 11 years old. He has started stamp collecting. I used to collect stamps as a child. Also, my son is a member of Postcrossing, although he doesn't send many cards.

I know some people on here have a wish-list, but I have no real preference, as long as it is a nice postcard (if you need ideas, try landscapes, city views, castles, UNESCO, nature, funny/cartoon postcards..... nice postcards). It doesn't matter if you send the postcard written and stamped, or unwritten/written in an envelope. All that matters is that you send me a nice postcard!

I have learnt German and if you like, bitte schreib mir in Deutsch (ich habe fast alles vergessen). I also learnt Welsh (s'mae). I have forgotten French which I learnt in school over half a lifetime ago.

I like gardening, nature, writing letters to pen-friends (I am not currently looking for more penpals at this time), and many other things.

Most postcards I send are posted on the same day the address has been requested, though if I request addresses late in the evening, they will be posted the following day.

Postcard Wall - I had a scanner but it is broken. I will buy a scanner but do not know when. I do not scan my outgoing cards - sometimes I will write a postcard in a café in town and post on the way home.

4th January 2011 - I have changed my username.

1st March 2012 - I have received some messages concerning cards sent to me but have not been registered. I have checked my inbox of registered but not scanned cards in case they've slipped in there by mistake, but found nothing unregistered. I fear they are in the postal twilight zone.
