About Cathrine...
Hi,
My name is Cathrine. I study Nautical Science at Ålesund University College! So when I'm finished studying, I'll work at sea. Maybe as a captain one day. My dream is to work at a cruise ship or at Hurtigruten.
I love to read and I do especially like to read fantasy/fiction. For example "Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit".
Here's what kind of postcards I prefer to receive (Any size);
Short list;
a view of the place you live (and it would be nice to learn something about the place, too!)
Long list:
+Views, for example; capital cities and other cities, towns, villages, historical sites, UNESCO, lighthouses, lakes/lake reflections, montains, waterfalls, autumn views, lightning, as long as it's indentified with name of place/area, or country if and multiview with view of different places in the country
+Anything sea related, for example; harbour views, boats, ships, lighthouses, corals/animals/birds etc living in or near the sea, sea food recipes, related to The Tall Ships' Races (esp. a postcard with the lyrics of the official song "As They Fill The Horizon").
+Maps(especially of countries, cities and US states, but all maps are fine)
+flag postcards
+"Did you know"/facts about a place/country/animal etc
+recipes
+legends (f.ex the legend about the sand dollar/sea horse)
+calendar postcards (any year)
+Wild animals, birds included (especially baby animals)
+Christmas postcards (not those folded ones, please)
+Winnie the Pooh and friends
+Atelier Nouvelles Images and other multiples. Especially animals and food related
+Would LOVE to receive any of the postcards in the favourite folder in the gallery, or in my favourite folder at flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/norway_girl/favorites/ (Don't have to be exactly the same postcard, as long as it's some simalarities)
+To Italians; If you have postcards with "Le leggende di Fanes" number 1-5 for trade, I'd LOVE to trade for them! Please let me know if you'd like to trade with me!
I'd be really happy if you write more than "happy postcrossing" on the postcard. Don't know what to write? Here's some ideas;
*about the place you live, history, what to see etc.
*your favourite book(s) or author(s). Which book do you read now?
*a funny/interesting/happy/weird etc memory, for example from school or holiday.
*any typical events, festivals etc in your area/country
*the weather at the moment
*a typical day in your life
*funny/cute/interesting stories
*do you believe in ghosts?
*what's your favourite season, and why?
*would you like to travel in time? Would you travel back in time, or to the future? any special place/date/time periode you'd go to? I.e your birthplace, the viking age or January 1, 2300.
Feel free to write to me in Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Spanish or German, if you know one if those languages.
