I have never put any preferences for cards on my profile, but now, after more than 1 year, I think it's time to give some indications to my fellow postcrossers:

1) reproductions of ancient or medieval maps
2) reproductions of illuminated manuscript (miniature)
3) macro-photography
4) details

6) good compositions of objects

Avoid ad/free/self-made postcards if you can. :)

I love beautiful stamps as well (I am pretty sure that if you ask to your post office for some nice commemorative stamps, they will find something great for your postcards!)
