Hello from South Africa -

I am Sandy, the armchair traveller!
( and a pharmacist from Durban)

I was bored one weekend, so after filing away my postcards for the week, I decided that I was going to take a trip around the world via the postcards in my collection.....then I thought ...hmm, why be selfish?

Let me share the nicest postcards with others, so I started a blog- an armchair journey around the world in 80 days- via my personal postcard collection.

I have never blogged before so I am keeping it simple........and would appreciate comments and suggestions as to how I can enhance the experience for postcard lovers like myself.

This is simply for the fun of it, and trust me, it has been an absolute blast....from the Serengeti to the Eiffel Tower...from Antarctica to the Taj Mahal....

I have been collecting postcards since I was 6 years old so I have a huge collection of cards from more than 130 countries

I joined this site to see the WORLD via SCENIC postcards
so obviously I would prefer NOT to receive CARTOONS, FREE CARDS, ADVERTS OR HOME MADE CARDS, or cats,

I prefer buildings and not forests from Finland PRETTY PLEASE. Thank you very much.

I humbly REQUEST and firmly BELIEVE that I will certainly RECEIVE a spectacular card from YOU depicting a sacred site;a tourist attraction ; World Heritage site:-); national costumes and dancers etc

I LOVE UNESCO cards.....AND 3Dimensional cards of famous places will be a dream come true:-))
