You’ve done it again! :) Five million received postcards in five years, pretty neat, hum?

We know you’re all eager to know the details so here we go…

The five millionth postcard received through Postcrossing traveled from Elefantus in Italy to ployploy in Thailand. Lovely card, isn’t it?

Nobody guessed the right countries (from Italy to Thailand), so we’ll split the surprise between Elefantus and ployploy – congratulations!

PS – We apologize for the sudden drop in the countdown numbers towards the end – we had some unexpected cache issues that caught us by surprise, and didn’t allow us to make the magic screenshot we usually do on these events. Bummer!

Another million postcards received already?! :D

This means it’s time for another mini-contest! So tell us, which countries do you think the postcard 5000000 will be sent from and received in?

Hurry, less than 20000 postcards to go!

PS – Only one guess per person please! And yes, there will be some surprises for the first person who guesses the combination, so be original! :)

WOW! The response to June’s contest was amazing, we had almost 300 very creative submissions… which made the task of choosing just three of them a very hard job!

Good news, everyone!

MOO, our favorite printing company, has gracefully offered to sponsor a monthly contest here on Postcrossing. So from now on, every month, we’ll host a little competition and let you showcase your talent and imagination!

So, without further ado, this month’s theme is… video!

As you know, Postcrossing can be a bit tricky to explain to new users… so we’d like to enlist your help!

So your assignement is to make a short & sweet video that explains how Postcrossing works.
Then, submit it to YouTube (or your favourite video sharing site) and share the link in the blog comments. Use your imagination & have fun! :)

In 2 weeks (May 28th) we’ll review the results and choose our favorite – and if that’s you, a pack of MOO's fantastic postcards will be all yours!
