IS IT YOU?
On 9/17/2010 I received a postcard from Russia with no postcard ID listed. If you sent it, please let me know so I can register it. The sender is Julia. It lists a username that I can't fully read, something close to voltohole_in_box).
The vast majority of the time I am incredibly witty and abnormally humble; the rest of the time I am sarcastic. I find humor in everything and it takes a lot to offend me. I appreciate well placed curse words and all other bad influences. I was born and raised in Colorado and have been living in Washington for several years. I am an avid outdoors girl and I hike, bike, camp, boat, etc all summer long. I am fluent in Japanese and have traveled Asia extensively. Reading is an addiction to me and I subscribe to way too many magazines. I am obsessively crafty and arsty. I spend a lot of time with photography, sewing, painting, paper crafts, sketching/drawing, graphic design, and writing. I love to send and receive mail and am always open to swapping via the post.
THINGS I LIKE:
Birds, Graffiti, Deer, Chickens (the funkier, the better), Moose, Red Poppies, Sunflowers (artsy variety, not country kitchen variety), Silhouettes (think Abe Lincoln), Robots, Heroin Chic, Mexican Wrestlers, Moustached Men (see: cheesy handlebar), Retro Cameras, Old Boomboxes, Cassette Tapes, Vintage/Retro Advertisements, Dick and Jane, Burlesque/Peepshow Girls, Simple Sketches, Macro Photographs, Pop Art, Unusual Art, Anything Cheeky, Cheesy, or Kitsch, Satire, Humor, Whimsy, Anything Offensive, Obscenities (especially the F word), Nudity (tastefully done or not), El Día de los Muertos, Brown and Robin's Egg Blue, Brown and Pink, Red and Ivory, Hot Pink and Lime Green, Retro 1970s Color Schemes, Adrian Tomine, Nara Nishimoto, and Banksy.
THINGS I DON'T LIKE:
Free Advertisement Postcards, Glitter, Stickers, Uninspired Art, Clean and Boring, Fantasy, Faeries, Dragons, Anime, Sci-Fi, Religious Paraphernalia (unless it is kitschy), The Occult, Wicca/Witchcraft, and Licensed Characters.
SENDING TO ME:
Please don't let my likes/dislikes limit you. Send whatever strikes you as a good choice; I'm sure I'll be happy to receive it. As for the writing space, I'd prefer to have you fill it with something more personal than a brief hello. Tell me your dreams, your secrets, something that makes you unique. And if you choose to use the space to sketch something you'd make me smile.
SEE YOU IN THE POST!
