I want to participate again, do I create a new account?
In the early days of Postcrossing, if a member failed to log in periodically, their account was removed and the member profile deleted. If this happened to your account, to join Postcrossing again, you will have to re-register with a new username and a different email address. There is no way to recover your account.
The good news is that, currently, if you have exchanged postcards with your account, it will not be deleted, even if you do not login for a long period of time. It will however be set to the 'Inactive' state automatically, but when you login again, you can set back to 'Active' again.
Note however that if you created an account but never made any postcard exchanges and did not use the account for a long period of time, it may be deleted from our system. In this case, you'll have to create the account again to participate.
