The monument to the writer Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, the work of Alexander Mikhailovich Opekushin, was opened in Moscow on June 6 (18), 1880. The monument is made of bronze; it was originally installed at the beginning of Tverskoy Boulevard on Strastnaya Square (now Pushkinskaya). In 1950, the monument was moved to the opposite side of the square. Restoration of the monument was carried out twice - in 1993 and 2003, its major restoration was completed in 2017. The Pushkin monument is an object of cultural heritage of Russia.
