Lala Bohang was born in Makassar and a graduate in Architecture of Parahyangan University in Bandung. She loves to explore about personal story, routine, and mundane things which often overlooked. Her ability to create a certain style of storytelling through text and drawing led her to publish several best-selling illustrated books, The Book of Forbidden Feelings (2016), The Book of Invisible Questions (2017), and The Book of Imaginary Beliefs (2019). She also published Lula Lyfe (2016) and a playbook, The Book of Questions (2018). The Journey of Belonging (2020) is her first non-fiction book, a collaboration with Indo-Dutch writer and historian Lara Nuberg awarded with Ranald MacDonald Award 2020.
