Crouching Tiger, Hidden Danger

Every year, Postcrossing collaborates with the Singapore Philatelic Museum with one very special exhibition. But it's not just every year, it's every Chinese new year! The exhibit celebrates the Chinese Zodiac animals: Year of the Rat, Year of the Ox and, the current one, the Year of the Tiger.

A few month ago, we have requested Postcrossers from all over the world to send them postcards with tigers that they used to display in their exhibition: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Danger. And, as always, Postcrossers have excelled in their contribution and offered a shower of postcards.

Mishelle at the Musueum shared some photos that we now share with you all:

Year of the tiger

Year of the tiger

Happy Year of the Tiger! :)

I, too, got a return card from Mishelle, thank you; I’m looking forward to doing that again. I see a card in the bottom left corner of the last photo that is one I got in a swap with a young Postcrosser from China; he wrote, “There is a toy tiger on the card, it’s a little scary, I think, but popular in China. Every Chinese had it when he/she was a kid (including me) 100% Chinese style!” I can see the card next to it on its right is the reverse of this same card and has the same kind of Chinese stamps as my card, the red one has a cartoonish tiger standing on two legs, the Chinese Year of the Tiger stamp?

This is sooo my year! When I am becoming a real tiger, the one remaining since 1986 until the day I die. And I will be the last tiger to die, for the rest of the tigers.
I want to know each and every cat, dog and animal on the postcrossing the way its shown in AVATAR. Lets connect through images, humans and nature! I feel each of you, but I want to know that you hear me. But now you know how to find me.
