Hello, my name is Dave,

I'm a journalist - an editor at a daily newspaper - married and the father of young twin boys.

I enjoy traveling - visited UK, France, Kazakstan, Vietnam and Japan, as well as parts of the USA (I was born in Boston).

I play guitar and love classic rock (Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Rush, etc.) and classical (Rimsky-Korsakov, Mussorgsky, Prokofiev and Shostakovich).

I read novels voraciously and my favourite authors are Emile Zola, Georges Simenon, Dostoevsky, Mikhail Sholokhov and Graham Greene.

I also enjoy getting fun stuff in the mail so Postcrossing is a perfect hobby for me. I will appreciate any type of postcard and a few friendly words of greeting from far-away places. And I mean any kind of postcard - the variety and the surprise are part of the fun of Postcrossing, so absolutely any kind of card is fun to get - although if you have any relating to guitars, books and writing, that would be awesome :-)

I also enjoy writing snail-mail letters, and I'm fluent in French and English, so if you're looking for a snail-mail penpal, let me know!
