About Yuliya...

Hello,
I’m Yuliya. I live in the very centre of Russia – the city of Irkutsk. It’s around 5 000 km from Moscow. The eastern Siberia, Lake Baikal, Taiga forest, hard winters and short summers – this is the place I live.
I studied Economics and used to work for a financial company.

I like travelling and try to use every chance. New places, new people, new roads and new food ... what can be better for feeling the moments of life! The beauty of nature makes me feel happy. I love sea and swimming but unfortunately cannot go to the seaside every year. Sometimes me and my family go to relax on the shores of Lake Baikal but it’s not the perfect place for swimming! Rather for hiking and enjoying the pure nature.

I adore arts: pictures, theatre, ballet, symphony concerts. As well as beautiful architecture: monuments, old buildings, bridges and gates.
My music preferences are classics and jazz. At home I have a wonderful antique German piano (Bluethner), I play the piano just for myself.

I have two children: a 9-years old son and a baby daughter. To be a mother is the greatest thing in the world! I spend a lot of time with my family and try to do my best for my children.
I’m fond of kid’s books, fresh colour graphics and unusual toys.

For me postcrossing is a new way of communication and a little adventure. When I see something new in my post box, I feel happy!
Any cards from you are welcome (except multiview and ads).
But most of all I’d prefer:
- Illustrations (esp. kids’)
- Cute kids
- Vintage / Retro
- Arts
- Historical architecture
- Funny animals
- Seaview
- Anything special to your local place
- Christmas cards

I’d be grateful if you write a couple of words about your country and the place you live. Or something in your native language (with translation!). You can write to me what you do in your free time or what are your dreams about.
Greetings from Siberia,
Yuliya
