Hello,
my name is Sandy and I live in a small town near Frankfurt/Main in Germany.
I am in my early fifties, married and a mother of three. We also have a very independent cat called Cleo.

I'm an introvert pluviophile bookworm and sometimes I think of myself as a hermit crab because I need a lot of me-time and really enjoy spending time alone reading, writing or crafting (handmade cards, found poetry, collaging and a bit of art journalling and minizines).
I also like to go for walks through nature and I don't always need company for that, either, although I enjoy the occasional round of Nordic Walking with a friend.

When I feel the need to leave my little shell I enjoy all sorts of cultural activities: museums and art galleries, concerts, readings, cabaret and theater shows.
I also enjoy visiting historical sites or national parks and botanical gardens.
And I love to be near water - rivers, lakes and especially the sea (which unfortunately I live too far away from).
I also like to get together with friends now and then for a night of board games or for coffee and a chat, but I'm definitely no party-animal.

I would love to learn about the places you come from and any interesting trivia about your home town or your culture! :-)

- nature (animals, plants, landscapes, towns, famous or interesting buildings or ruins)
- view cards of your home town or region
- art
- love depicted in art and photography
- objects photographed or painted from an unusual perspective
- seasonal greetings
- cartoons ( if it's not German or English please write a translation on the back)
- card no. 24 from your stash of unwritten postcards

Handmade cards are welcome as long as they've been made with love and creativity. ;-)

I look foward to receiving all kinds of postcards, but please no
- cards with political or religious messages (pictures of sacred sites and buildings are very welcome! :-) )
- folded cards and you don't need to send your card in an envelope
- lenticular cards - they always make me feel dizzy when I look at them! Save them for those who appreciate them. :-)
- AI-generated images - while they are pretty they always make me feel like they have no soul.
