Hello World!

I am a Canadian which means I love Snow, Bacon, Freedom, saying Sorry, and Skiing but not necessarily in that order.

I also thoroughly enjoy travelling other than via postcards and have so far visited England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Turks and Caicos, United States,Barbados, Dominican Republic, St. Lucia, and once our plane was diverted, due to a strike and we landed in Cuba for 4 hours and I had an ice cream and bought a Cuban cigar!

I have helped my husband write four novels for children, one of which was short listed for the Red Maple award!! We love to banter and throw ideas around on our 4 hour road trips to the cottage in the summer.
I have an Honours Degree in English but love to take on different jobs that leave me free to roam in the summer months.
I have been a waitress, a child minder, an elderly care giver, a school bus driver, an ESL teacher, and my best accomplishment by far....a mother.
I love sailing, skiing, skating, swimming, hiking, hot air ballooning, ringette, and reading. Feel free to send me the title of your favourite book!!!
I also adore fine wines, and love experimenting with recipes...right now I am on a soup kick (we just got our first two feet of snow...brrrr) and my favourite so far is Sweet Potato soup.
I also collect antiques and love to think of the history behind my purchases. My best purchase so far is a massive 9 ft Refectory table that seats 10. It is the heart of my home and I love to entertain around it!
I typed in interesting things to do on the internet one day and Postcrossings popped up!!! I can see this as my new favourite hobby!
