Hello out there!

Already as a child I was fascinated by messaging with people from all over the world and collecting stamps from exotic countries. I also had a pen pal in Canada, with whom I am still friends, but these days we communcate via facebook. When my girlfriend told me about Postcrossing I was immediately very intrigued. I am looking forward to the excitement of sending and receiving cards to and from all over the world.

I am a software engineer from Switzerland. After living for a few years in Scotland and the Netherlands I am back in my home country.

I like books, especially historical novels (in particular if they have something to do with sailing across the oceans), but also classic English novels and random current fiction, mostly from English-speaking countries. Other things I like are walking, geocaching, travelling (most recently in Portugal), watching TV series, eating nice food (e.g. banoffee pie) and enjoying the summer in the city or the winter in the mountains (snowboarding!).

I am looking forward to find a variety of different cards in my mailbox. To give you some indications: I like nice pictures of landscapes or cities better than multi-view cards and art cards better than comic cards. Some subjects that I like particularly: space flight, ships and maps. But I will be happy about every card that I receive!
