Hello there!

My name is Sari. I am an interior designer and a hostel owner. A mud blood, multicultured girl born and raised in the center of a megapolitan capital city called Jakarta. I recently decided to move and live in a more humane, laidback and artistic town: Yogyakarta.

I am a big foodie and a culturephile; loves to do art, travel the world (especially Indonesia), cook and spend quality time with close friends and family. I find my peace and solitude in nature, especially when I scuba dive. The way people live their lives in the other part of the world has always fascinate me.

Don't mean to dictate you, but here are some ideas of what I love:
. Picture of your local food or/with the recipe (especially desserts! ;b)
. Life scenes / activities with people in it that shows your unique culture / custom. I've always been fascinated by how people's expressions and emotions transfer through photography.

(with pictures of: historical events / cultural fairs / festivals, bohemian, art deco, architecture, vintage weddings,historical pictures, traditional dresses/costumes, shabby chic, nude)

such as theater (ex: Moulin Rough painting by Toulouse de Lautrec), musicals, dance performances (ex: ballet / traditional dances), Opera, Circus (ex.Cirque du Soleil, puppets show, etc)
. Children's books illustration
(especially Olivia The Piglets by Ian Falconer and Naughty Naughty Pets by Wendy Gardner)
. baby animals (especially the fluffy and huggable ones, such as: dogs (puppies!!), hamsters, pandas, bunnies, parrots,pigglets, and otters. *Otters are extremely adorable to me!)
. Pin Up art
. Classic Erotica (such as Emmanuelle)
. Pop Art
. Sherly Temple
. Poems
. Markets, bakery, store windows
. Public / local advertisements
. Something with bright colors and details
(texture and pattern design, especially in fabrics)
. Studio Ghibli. I am big fan! Luv..luv..luv..Totoro!!

. How ever, a nice surprise of something that you love to share would always be pleasant too.

*Would be very happy if you could share a link to recipe of your favorite local delicacy and/or information about your favorite food /eating place / food vendor in your town on the card. And write me a short story of what's like to be in the side of your world would totally make my day!

PS: Please don't send the postcard inside an envelope. I love the postal stamps and the "journey marks" on my cards. I am also not a fan of touristy postcards
