About Violet...

♫♬Something about me~

My name is Violet (Chinese name Kuei-feng Hu) and I live in Taipei, Taiwan. Taiwan is an island surrounded by sea, and we inherit very rich mountain views and beautiful natural scenes. I love my country very much for its variety and it always inspires me with its splendid landscapes. I am a research assistant and my specialty is Literature. However, I am in love with sketches, drawings, photos, handcrafts...everything beautiful and made with love. I'm now taking classes of silver ornaments and I enjoy myself a lot. Hope to try more different materials whenever I’m ready!

♫♬Something about you~

☻Life is a feast. What are you taking today?

☺At the beginning (end) of the day, what is your memorable moment of this precious day?

☻Help me to learn a word (any will do) in your language.

☺Things inspire you the most today.

☻If you’re recently working a project, I would be glad to know about it.

☺Are you a dream person? Share with me your dreams.

☻Though “LOVE” is a term unspeakable. I would like to know what you think about love.

☺Please, draw me something in this card.

☻What’s your creativity?

☺I’m thirsty for stories, and you can water me.

A story I love from a famous illustrator, Maurice Sendak, who do a lot of great Children Books:

It was from a little boy. He sent me a charming card with a little drawing. I love it. I answer all my children’s letters—sometimes very hastily—but this one I lingered over. I sent him a postcard and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim, I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it.
