About Andy...

Hello-hello :)

My name is Andy, and I’m from Bielefeld, Germany. I study sociology at Bielefeld University and work part-time.

It’s always difficult for me to describe myself or my interests because it feels like there is way too much to mention... But I'll try my best!

I love cartoon characters - especially Disney's Goofy, Shrek, Peppa Pig, pretty much every character from Ratatouille and Despicable Me, and cartoon villains - Hades, Prince John, Gaston, Cruella, The Duke (Gummi Bears), Fairy Godmother (Shrek 2), Rumpelstilzchen (from Shrek 4), Rasputin (Anastasia), etc.

I love love LOVE all monkeys and apes existing and dogs (especially golden retrievers, labradors, french bulldogs, beagles, and pugs). I don't have a dog (yet) and neither a monkey, owning which isn't even close to possible. But I enjoy watching them at the Apenheul (basically a monkey zoo) - if you're ever in the Netherlands, I highly recommend you go there!

The Office (US) is my absolute comfort show. In the last two years, I've watched it 10 times... I love every moment and every second of it. It's probably quite rare but maybe you have something related in your collection for me <3

I'm a huuuuuge nerd about statistics and maps, especially schematic ones like transit maps. I also love the infographic cards with little signature things about the country.

I really like Wimmelbooks, too, especially the Where is Waldo/Wally ones! And I generally prefer drawings and cartoons over photos.

I'm not a fan of AD and military-related cards.

Whenever I get a card from my postbox, register a card, or choose and sign a card to send, I catch myself doing all of this with a soft smile and a calm mood. Those are genuinely priceless emotions. I feel like Postcrossing is an incredible hobby - it's not about perfecting your skill, not about competition, it feels like giving back to humanity as a whole and making a person smile and brightening their day. What can be better? Love it!

I love getting a lot of greetings from all over the world. Just send me any card you feel like sending, and I'll be happy about every single one of them!

Sending you hugs,
Andy
