we are a Year 10 class in Cantal, in the center of France.
We are between 13 and 16 years old. The name of our Junior High School is" Collège Raymond Cortat". It is a small rural school with less than a hundred students. There are only 4 classes in our school. We learn English, Spanish and Occitan, our regional language. Our class is composed of 8 boys and 11 girls.
Here, winters are cold and snowy. There are lots of green spaces, lakes and dormant volcanoes. It is beautiful and quiet.
We would love to learn about other countries.
We are interested in traditional food, or recipes from your country.
We love cantal cheese, truffade and aligot (potato dishes ) and sausages. We also love bourriols (buskwheat pancake.
We would also enjoy learning about schools where you live : what are the languages learnt in your country ? what time do kids start school in the morning ? When do they finish ? how do they get graded ? For instance, in our school, grades are out of 20. 20/20 is the best grade and 0/20 the worst...

if you could put one word, or saying, or typical expression in your native tongue and translate it into English for us, it would make us very happy.. ( one easy word is "school"...)

In May, we will celebrate "LANGUAGE WEEK" in our school and we will exhibit all the cards we received with info about the country they come from !!!
