About Regina...

I live in the Northern capital of Russia in St.Petersburg. St. Petersburg is often called Russian capital of culture, northern Venice. It is the second largest city in Russia. Few world cities can boast of so many sights, museums, opera houses and drama theatres, tofts and palaces, parks and monuments. This city is famous for its remarkable atmosphere. Visitors can frequently hear next words: “Open your heart to the city and it will open for you and will remain in your heart forever”. And if it really happens whenever you come to St. Petersburg no matter it rains or the sunshine is ferocious, it is sleety or freezing the city will receive you as its native child. It will impart its warmth to you, soothe you and infuse with hope sure enough.
I work at the state Hermitage Museum. The Hermitage is one of the most interesting museums in St. Petersburg. It occupies six buildings. The largest and the most important building designed by Rastrelli is the Winter Palace. The St. Petersburger Hermitage has 400 rooms and more than 3 million various exhibits. It is the largest art museum in our country and one of the most famous art museums in the whole world.
I love to collect various rare Russian coins and foreign currency. I dream to assemble a large collection of coins of all countries of the world. With the help of postcrossing I would like to assemble a collection of postcards with images of attractions, palaces, parks, bridges, squares, urban watches, costumes and portraits of great people. I want to know more about distant countries.
