Hi there!
My name is Martine, I am 25 years old and I live in Haastrecht, The netherlands.
I moved here toherther with my boyfriend in 2014.
I was born and raised in Gouda. Since Haastrecht is in a big contrast with Gouda it was a pretty big turn in my life. It took me a pretty long while to get adjusted to live here, but I do not regret it at all!
Haastrecht is pretty rural, and compared to the city it is very quiet. But oh, what a freedom!

I work as a special needs tutor for the disabled and truly love it! it is hard sometimes but I always go home with a smile when work has ended. It brings me joy helping people and taking care of them when they are not able to take care of themselves.

I love nature and everything outdoors. I love traveling and visiting new places. Although, I don't do that as much as would like to.
Scandinavia has stolen my (and my boyfriend's) heart. We are planning on a road trip trought various scandinavian countries in the near future.

After years of struggling with health, doing only what other people want and personal isseus it is finally time to take back control of my own life again.
I have been a collector of many things (vintage suitcases, tin cans, paper goods etc etc) but only to fill up the blanks in my life. Did these things really made me happy? Or were they just a way to distract myself and made me think I was happy because it made me feel happy for a short period of time.
So 2017 started with a big cleanup and now I am trying to live a more minimalistic life.
What makes me really happy?

One thing that does makes me happy is recieivng mail! I love to get the mail.
finding mail in de mailbox instantly makes me smile. Sometimes I can really wait for the mailman to come by our house.
So sending and recieving mail is something I don't give up!

What I like to recieve are:
- Vintage cards.
- Cards of John Lennon/Joko Ono. The Beatles. Frida Kahlo, michael Jackson
- Cards with retro patterns (e.g. https://nl.pinterest.com/nuvru/retro-patterns/ )
- Cows.
- Alfons Mucha.

For a very big part of my life i have been doing many sorts of art, but lately i've been focusing on Collaging alot. You can follow me on instagram @Knutseltroep, or find me on facebook also.
