Hello everyone!

I'm Thierry, a 24 year old girl from Cavite, Philippines. The picture in my profile is not me by the way - it's an avatar, a picture of Princess Leia - my favorite Star Wars character.

I am currently starting my career as an industrial engineer. I live with my parents and my elder sister. Despite my technical career, I consider myself as a renaissance girl at heart - someone who is deeply passionate in:

- MUSIC, I love playing the piano and I am trying to teach myself with it. I have an eclectic music taste, which run the gamut from classical to electronica to ballads.

- ARTS, I try to paint and take photos. I love studying the artworks during the renaissance period.

- SPORTS, I can definitely watch ESPN the entire day. Favorite sports would be basketball and tennis, but I watch everything from soccer to hockey to American football, just name it! Personally I like to jog/run, and leisurely play volleyball, badminton and football.

- LANGUAGES, I currently teach myself with Spanish and I hope to learn French, Italian and German some day.

- FILMS, the very original and thought provoking ones but not too meta. My favorites are: Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back, From Russia with love, Casino Royale, Titanic, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

- and LITERATURE, I like to write essays, short stories, plays, scripts. This kid is writer at heart. Favorite books are the ff: The Bible, The Purpose Driven Life, The Alchemist, The Bridges of Madison County, Letters to a Young Poet. If I wasn't an engineer, I'd be either a scriptwriter, a musician (pianist) or a neonatal/neurosurgeon.

I am looking forward to any kind of postcard you'll send me, although I'd appreciate it more if it has any of the following characteristics:

- it has something to do with your country.
- retro or old fashioned postcards or postcards with old, black and white photos of places / sceneries.
- postcards with paintings
- postcards depicting any of my interests enumerated above

Please indicate the date when you wrote the letter, as well as the temperature. And PLEASE write something on the postcard, just write a lot on it - the longer, the better; I love words and I prefer to read postcards like I will read a letter.

Feel free to teach me words from your native language too!
