I live on an island 7kms off the coast of Townsville, North Queensland. My island is about 97% National Park, and is very pretty, with lots of bush and beaches. It is a quiet, laid back place with about 2000 people living here. We share our island with many unique Australian animals especially koalas, wallabies and a variety of amazing birds.
I have a great interest in animals and birds of all types. And I am passionate about animal welfare and the environment.
I am addicted to travelling the World learning new cultures, seeing the wildlife and meeting new people and just enjoying new experiences.
I try to combine travel with volunteering with wildlife rescues. Such as "Free the Bears" and "Borneo Orangutan Survival"
I love open spaces, gardening,, enjoy walking my dog and kayaking.
I now retired but have worked in the Antarctic where I was the postal officer!

I appreciate receiving postcards of any type although i love birds, animals, Tin Tin and cards depicting your country's culture.
