Hello Fellow Postcrossers,

This is an account I have opened for my grandma for a surprise new year present. (It's her in the avatar!) My aim is to receive as many postcards as I can that I can give her as a present. My grandma has lost her beloved husband two years ago and she's been feeling a bit lonely. I thought postcrossing is a great way to introduce her to all those different places she has never been.

UPDATE: THANK YOU VERY MUCH POSTCROSSERS FOR SENDING THESE LOVELY CARDS FOR MY GRANMA! SHE READ EACH POSTCARD TWICE WITH HER BROKEN ENGLISH AND WAS VERY EXCITED TO MEET ALL THESE LOVELY PEOPLE FROM AROUND THE WORLD. YOU MADE A NICE OLD LADY'S DAY!!!! IT'S PRICELESS!

I kindly request from you to write on the postcard "happy new year grandma!" and "I love you!" in your own language. You can write everything you'd like to as well, but I specifically would like to have these two sentences on the card.

All cards are welcome except for ad cards, cards with explicit humour and nudity and anything your grandma would not enjoy either. My grandma would best enjoy:

- Scenes from nature
- Paintings / she does not really like contemporary artists, she likes more classical painters
- Scenes from your hometown or country
- Flowers
- Birds
- Nice photography of people and daily life
- Charcoal drawings, sketches

Thank you for sending a card, believe me my granny will have tears of happiness when she has a box of postcards written for her in the new year's eve.
