Earlier this year a dancing friend introduced me to postcrossing. I always loved to write letters and cards, but very few people in my acquaintance share this pastime.

I’m 49 years old and live/work in a small town half way between Cologne and Duesseldorf. I love reading,travelling and photography, but my main hobby is dancing, especially “Scottish Country Dance”. So I regularly visit dance events abroad (so far only within the bounds of Europe) and like to combine that with sightseeing (+ taking pictures).

I haven’t made up my mind, which kind of card I prefer, but I definitely don’t like cards with cartoons or pictures of royals.

I really like
- something typical from your country
- Landscapes / sea
- Birds / Huskys
- Art + design (paintings, sculptures, buildungs etc), especially from your country
- Architecture (unusual or famous)
- UNESCO World Heritage Sites (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Heritage_Site )
