My name is Bridgette and I live in Paderborn, a small city in northwest Germany. I'm originally from the USA.

I alternately teach English and do research in the language sciences. I enjoy many hobbies, including gardening, reading, dancing, and hiking.

Although I am happy to receive ALL cards, my favorite motifs (if you manage to find/make a card featuring them) are:
-- art (geometric, Jugendstil, surrealist, sculpture)
-- clocks, watches, other time-measuring technology
-- flowers (poppies, roses, cornflowers)
-- insects (ladybird beetles, preying mantids, spiders)
-- calligraphy (all; Western, Chinese, Arabic)
-- landforms (mountains, hoodoos, badlands, canyons)
Cards featuring something symbolic of the place they're from are also very welcome. I also welcome weird/offbeat cards and handmade cards.
