About slowdown...

I am a creative woman in my thirties, mother to a toddler. I love nature, crafts, animals (especially cats), reading, writing, travelling - so many things really.

I have recently started collecting cards picturing PARENTHOOD, e.g. nursing, kids carried in a sling, mother/father and child working together, reading together, or just enjoying each others company. So such cards would be very welcome. (Here are a few examples of what I am looking for: https://plus.google.com/photos/115347053129416372212/albums/5892454514807333761)

Also happy to receive:
- Nouvelles Images black&white photography
- postcards showing children reading
- rocking horse
- illustrations from Janosch books
- paintings by Mary Cassatt
- black & white photography
- vintage postcards
- classic fairytales
- 'Pippi Longstocking' or anything by Astrid Lindgren
- 'Alice in Wonderland'
- other children's book illustrations
- Jessie Willcox Smith
- Vladimir Rumiancev
- Makoto Muramatsu cats
- Rebecca Dautrememer
- bullfinches - they make me feel warm and cosy
- magpies - they are always intriguing
I'd also be interested to see part of your culture in a card - a national costume, rituals, native people, national festivals, famous personalities or anything of the kind. Beautiful viewcards are welcome as well, especially from countries far away.

My favourites gallery is my wishlist. I do not favour cards I receive to avoid confusion. So if you have anything that is among my favourites, you can be 100% sure I don't have it yet and I will LOVE it!

What is on the other side of the card is as is important as the picture. Please take some time to write something. Isn't this the whole point of postcrossing?.. If you are stuck for ideas, tell me what it feels to live in your country/town/village, what you dream of, what you regret, tell me a childhood memory or about the book/movie you liked, share a poem that's dear to you, maybe something interesting happened to you recently, or tell me why you like that particular card... I love READING :)))

I will understand if you write to me in English, Russian, or Lithuanian. But if you don't know these languages, use your own and I will have an adventure trying to translate it ;)
If French is your language, you are very welcome to write in it. I know only a little of it, but having to translate what you wrote will hopefully teach me a couple of new words and will definitely give me much pleasure.

Enormous THANK YOU beforehand!!!
