About Tatiana...

My name is Tatiana. I am 40 years old. Wow, isn't it? Not really, to come to think of it. Depends on what you've achieved so far. My greatest asset is my family. I am married. I have two children. my son is 20, he is a university student, studying to be an interpreter. we are proud of him! my daughter is 15. Independent though she is, Olesya is very delicate and sensitive, and has taught me more than I ever thought she could. Both kids are special. we are trying to do our best to raise them to be thoughtful, intelligent and caring.

My husband is a teacher of the Ukrainian language and literature. he gets along really well with his students because he is fair and clever. we work at the same school and I often feel privileged because of it. my husband is great support for me.

I'm a teacher of English and love it. as one of the postcrossers wrote to me, we are always a difference for some of our students. I feel really proud of my students when they achieve good results. they are very helpful, talented and initiative. last year's school leavers actually thought about my birthday this year and a great many showed up! that made my day!

My dream is for the war in my country to end. Then Ukraine can develop a true-to-life image among other countries. I hope my cards will help people from all over the world to view it as it is: with its industrial cities and picturesque countryside, hospitable and ambitious people with a great sense of humour and rich cultural heritage.

I love learning about people's likes, books and films they enjoy, dishes they cook, places they visit. it gives me a feel of touch to their lives.

and I LOVE,LOVE, LOVE quotes! can you share some with me?

I would appreciate getting postcards that have to do with
- other cultures.
- nature and animals.
- festivals held in your country.
- with comics and cartoon characters.
- happy people, children.
- with sayings (by famous people maybe)on them to think over.
- maps, flags.
- recipes, dishes.
- of religious meaning.
- seasonal greeting cards.
- a symbol of your country or city (if your city has got a nickname, tell me about it)

Here's a thought that often keeps me going: "Before you go to bed, give your troubles to God. He will be up all night anyway".

thinking about that helps a lot, don't you think? especially so for me now that my native country is going through some difficult times. I have always felt proud to be Ukrainian, and I know that many people are of the same opinion. time has come for change, and everyone's minds are opening accordingly. we are strong and we will overcome the hardships! "if you don't stand for something, you are apt to fall for anything". please support us with your goodwill!

I have found out about a little something that we can do to make a difference. Here http://www.sendkidstheworld.com/index.php is a site for us to visit if we want to send a card to a child with a life-threatening illness. It would put a smile on their
