About Serra...

Hi there! My name is Serra. I live in Istanbul and am a Linguistics MA student there.

I recently created an account on Instagram (@postaleaway) where I display my postcards in an artistic fashion. I would be grateful and happy to have some fellow postcrossers as followers, as well!

I like classic books,poetry and love reading Jane Austen and Shakespeare. I enjoy travelling a lot, so I would be very happy to collect postcards with different city views. I want to see London, Paris and Venice one day. I also enjoy classical music and music from the 50s and 60s. Pride and Prejudice, Chocolat, It's A Wonderful Life, Roman Holiday and Inception are some of my favourite movies and Doctor Who is my favourite TV series. If you have postcards about these, I would be delighted to receive them;

*movies and TV series mentioned above
*all kinds of food, especially chocolate and desserts
*historical and mythological figures
*baroque buildings, palaces, castles, etc.
*recipes,books
*beautiful city views
*languages
*paintings and sculptures
*fairytales and folktales

I have lived in Uppsala, Sweden for 5 months as an exchange student. I love Swedish culture and language. So, if you speak Swedish, please write to me in that language. Although I am still only a beginner, I would be happy to challenge myself and figure out what it means.

You can write to me about where you live, your culture, hobbies and give some information about the view, animal etc. on your postcard. I would like to learn some words in your language as well, so I would be pleased if you wrote at least a few words in your own language(and the translation). I also want to state that I am a nostalgic person and it would make me really happy to receive old postcards.

Finally, as in my country, postal service can be a little indifferent sometimes, I prefer receiving postcards in an envelope to avoid any harm. It's still up to you, of course. I love receiving small souvenirs about different cultures and countries, so if you want to add something to the envelope, feel free, it will be welcomed:)

Looking forward to receiving your postcard...
