schwa

Hi, guys (and girls)!

My name is schwa (well, not really. but schwa is what I usually go by) and I'm a linguistics student from Germany. I mainly study syntax (putting words together) and semantics (the meaning of words and sentences). My other interests are movies, TV shows (The Big Bang Theory, Criminal Minds, The Office, Dexter, How I Met Your Mother), public transport (I love traveling by train and actually do collect transit maps) and going out with my friends.

As for which postcards I like: I'd just like to see a typical postcard -- such as view of the city, sights,... or, if you don't sent those, I also like animals (cats, owls / birds, bunnies and penguins in particular) and typography / design.

If you're unsure what to write in the text: just tell me something about your hometown or (to satisfy my inner language scientist) tell me something about your language, teach me words / phrases, whatever. If you speak a language that I speak, you can write about local variation that's going on in your area (like "pop" vs "soda" in American English)! And if you speak Catalan or Spanish: I really need to practise those, so writing your message in that language would be awesome.

I've done postcrossing a few years ago (back when the site was all... simple), but had to stop when school got more important. But now I'm back! Yay!
