About Sandy...

I'm an English language teacher, currently in Poland, and formerly in Brno, Czech Republic, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK and Sevastopol, Crimea. I've also done teacher training in various countries in Europe, North America and Asia. I love receiving post, especially postcards which I use to decorate my flat. Although I've been a member for ages, I've rarely had a permanent address, something which will hopefully change now so I can up the number of cards I can send!

I'm a Bookcrosser, which is how I found out about this site - I love the idea of meeting people from all over the world.

I really enjoy travelling, learning languages, reading and watching films. I also volunteered regularly at a Brownie group (Girl Guides/Scouts for 7-10 year olds) when I was in the UK and worked as a Games Maker at the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.

I prefer postcards with pictures of places, especially important historical or cultural places in your country. I like a postcard which teaches me about something I didn't know before. I can also spend hours looking at maps! I enjoy seeing stamps from around the world and learning a little of your language. I'd rather not get advertising or hand-made postcards.

It would be great to hear from you!
