About Lisa...
Greetings from Canada,
I stumbled across this site from bookcrossing. Looks like fun and a great way to see the world from home. I love to travel.
In addition to being a vicarious traveller and a reader, I am also a behaviour consultant with adults with developmental disabilities. I intend to return to grad school next year. I love to share the postcards I get with everyone, including my clients and friends.
My avitar picture is of the main street where I live in the 20s. It doesn't look like that now! :) As you can see from the map I live close to Toronto and the USA. Toronto is just over an hour away and Buffalo, NY is about 40 minutes away.
Me as a Postcrosser:
I would love to get postcards from all over the world showing cultural events, sights, people, scenery, buildings, etc. I would prefer postcards from your hometown or country. But if you are going on vacation? Send a postcard from there with a note about how you are enjoying it, favorite site, etc. I also enjoy getting a message on the back about what the front of the postcard is or why you choose the postcard.
I also enjoy funny postcards, photograph postcards, art postcards (favorite artists include: Dali, Kahlo, Posada) and bizarre and unusual postcards. In memory of my grandmother who used to travel and send postcards to me, I am also interested in Fiddler's Green postcards, especially the old english town series. She used to send these when she was home and not traveling.
Special Request: I would love to receive a postcard from Antarctica. If you are interested in a private trade, let me know! :)
I look forward to sending and receiving postcards from the world! :)
