About Sarah...

Hello dear Postcrosser,
I look forward to connecting with you! Please send me a postcard which you would like to receive. Please no envelope unless necessary.

ABOUT ME
I'm in my thirties, a wife and mother of a young boy, and we live with our 2 cats in the middle of the Dutch countryside. I'm a biology schoolteacher and university researcher of genetics.

YOUR NATURE AND CULTURE
I like getting postcards of the natural landscapes and local sights in your city or area, especially if they are not very famous. I also like postcards of people wearing your regions's traditional clothing. I welcome handmade cards, such as a photo of your mailbox!

RELIGIOUS HERITAGE
As a Catholic, I am inspired by postcards of your country's saints, churches and pilgrimage places. I am also very, very happy to receive postcards of mosques, temples, synagogues, monasteries and so forth from your area!

ART CARDS
Cards of paintings, home furnishings & architecture inspired by these art schools are especially welcome: Pre-Raphaelites (D.G. Rosetti, E. Burne-Jones, J.E. Millais, H. Hunt, J.W. Waterhouse), Arts & Crafts movement (W. Morris, P.A. Traquair) and Jugendstijl / Art Nouveau (A. Mucha, G. Klimt).

YOUR LANGUAGE
It's fun when there is writing on your card that I can't understand and you translate it to English for me. Or poetry!

UNUSUAL STAMPS
I also like interesting, non-standard-issue stamps :) I often used the special Dutch Postcrossing stamps (see my picture above), however these are no longer available to purchase. So I try to use other special ones.

UPLOAD PHOTO YOURSELF
If you would like your postcard photo to be of high quality, I'm afraid it's better if you upload it yourself. My camera is not always doing postcards justice!

Thank you and have fun Postcrossing! :)
Cheers, Sarah
