My name is Yih Ling! I'm 22 years old and I'm from Malaysia.

I've set up this postcrossing account for my mother. Her name is Gek Tuan. She's 48 years old this year. She used to collect stamps, first day covers and coins when she was around my age. She used to write to her pen-pals too.

But after she got married to my father, and me and my brother were born, she stopped this hobby of hers.

As her eldest daughter, I wish to rekindle the passion for her old hobby. A month or two before her birthday (7th November) this year, I managed to get 30+ postcrossers from Postcrossing group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/2208955025/) on Facebook to send her many types of postcard for her birthday. And I bought her a postcard album to store all these postcards that she has received for her birthday this year. She really enjoyed receiving them.

I would like her to continue receiving postcards from around the world, so I set up this account for her. So, I will be the one sending you the postcard if I get your address. And if you get my address, it's actually my mom's address. I stay quite far from my mom due to my studies in university and I seldom see her. I hope you will send my mother a beautiful postcard.

Her postcard preference:

1. Written and stamped with nice stamps (not in envelope).

2. Please send my mother a REAL POSTCARD. It isn't fair for my mother if you send her something that you wouldn't like to receive (I would really hope she can receive nice postcards).

3. She would enjoy receiving postcards that have images of:
-Beautiful views of the places where you live in
-Cats
-Princess Diana
-Orchids
-Football player/Stadium/World Cup
-Horse
-And in November, a birthday postcard/greetings card will make her happy.

4. Please write messages on the postcards. She loves reading them. Tell her more about your place you live in.
