About Pinky...

Hello my new friend from another corner of the world!:D

My name is Pinky (but strangely I do not like the colour pink...green and blue are much better) and I am from Hong Kong, a small and crowded city. Here we walk very fast, work too hard and always feel ambivalent about everything.

To me, receiving postcards is indeed like getting gifts. I particularly like postcards featuring frogs, ducks, giraffes, puppet soldiers/nutcrackers, snowmen/gingerbread men, cute cartoons/illustrations (e.g. Winnie the Pooh, Little Prince (and the rose), Where's Wally & Peter Rabbit from Lake District!), designer maps/infographics, meaningful quotes/mottos/lyrics, local paintings/caligraphy, football kits/stadiums (both national and clubs'), signature coffee/beer, Greek mythology and horoscope (I am a Libra) and libraries/books (my goal this year is to read everyday). Cards with stickers, masking tapes, special postage stamps or craft stamps will make my day too!
(Flower or cat is not my cup of tea though...:P)

I enjoy reading books and blogs about travelling (with interesting adventures and reflections) and with nice pictures of the sky, sunsets, oceans, lakes, gardens, Autumn scenery, beautiful (and colourful) houses/villages/windmills/stone or wooden bridges and local people (in particular babies and children with big smiles).

After going to Spain (and taking a language course in Granada) for two months as a Summer exchange student in 2012, I found that I am in love with this country as I created many unforgettable and precious memories there. I visit Japan and Taiwan quite often as well. These are places where I can eat a lot of my favourite ice-cream or street-food!

I like to think a lot, especially about the meaning of life and love, and the ways to make myself a better person (perhaps because I am not confident at all and am a perfectionist). Working on a hospital project, I am interested in learning from others' insights and personal experience about healthcare services. I study communications and literature, and I really love handwriting and languages. I am amazed by the power and beauty of written word. That's why I have picked up the hobby of collecting postcards. I will be very delighted and pleased to get to know the stories that represent your identity or culture, the lines and attitude to which you hold on in life, the secrets or burdens that you hope to find a listener to shoulder with you, your passion, inspiration and motivation, the moments that change your perspective or lead to your growth as well as some bedtime tales of your own country.

Thanks very much in advance for your lovely cards and thoughtful sharing which I certainly treasure. Let's interact and have fun! :)

P.S. Don't forget to be grateful to the helpful postal workers who deliver the surprises to us! ^_^
