About Aggie...

Hello Fellow Postcrossers!!

The amazing handsome fellow in my profile picture is my grandson Justin!! He is the apple of my eye and the one who stole my heart :-)). Justin is now 19 months old, that picture was taken when he was a year old. I am a mom of three grown children, I have two daughters and a son I am super proud of for serving his country in the Canadian Armed Forces!!!! I am a cook and old fashioned home canner, a gardener, a knitter and crochet fanatic, a weaver and I also loom and quilt,I am also retired from scouting, was a Scout Troop leader and obviously love nature camping and hiking, and as a Mennonite Christian I am very heavily involved with my church and running a community cupboard (food bank) for the less fortunate and other christian service work.I also love jazz, blues, classical music and am a very voracious reader, journaller and letter writer so a new pen pal is always very welcome indeed!

It is this christian work that is keeping me sane and together since my surprise Christmas gift of Brain cancer!!! I have a primary brain malignant cancer called glioblastoma multiform stage 3 bordering stage 4 and I am in chemotherapy and radiation therapy everyday at this moment till August 2016 provided I make it that far!!! But God is with me! So i know I will win this battle one day at a time!!!! All I ask for is prayers and patience in me registering your cards or you receiving them from me since some days getting to the post office is just not possible for me at this time.

Postcards I love are:

Nature especially if its mountains, forests or waterways, or fauna unique to your geographical region of the world eg: kangaroo card from Australia etc and anything unique to your country!

Folklore and folk art, aboriginal culture or UNESCO sights and your own special foods or cultural images etc

I love old architecture and history rich buildings and bridges, castles and churches!

City-views by night and landscapes and folks reading or gardening or cooking etc

If all else fails check out my fave list for inspiration of what appeals to me!

Happy post crossing everyone!!!!!!
