About Pim...

Hello fellow Postcrosser,

My name is Pim and I am from the village of Kaatsheuvel in The Netherlands. My village has been known for its themepark 'Efteling'. It is the 3rd biggest themepark in Europe and it has been themed after many fairytales, myths and other tales. Me and my girlfriend like to visit the park very much.

I subscribed to Postcrossing in 2018 during my exchange in the UK (Sheffield (county Yorkshire)). Where I studied (and still do back home) law. I adore the UK and wish I could live there again. So any cards from the UK starring your city, typical English, Scottish, Irish or Welsh buildings, landscapes or royals are very welcome.

Now, due to covid I am not able to practice my biggest passion -Travelling- I am looking forward to travel from home with a little help from Postcrossing ;) I am happy to learn about your country and the habits and travelrecommendations of it (writing tip).

My hobbies are history, (non-mordern) art and architecture, traveling, visiting theme parks and taking photo's of all those things when I visit them. My favourite cities are Firenze (Florence) and Jerusalem.

For me it would be really nice to receive postcards with images of (in no specific order):

* A card which shows the city you live in;
* (An in your city/village/country famous) non modern painting or artwork;
* (Historical UNESCO) monuments/buildings from your city/village/country. I really like to see beautiful places worth visiting;
* Theme and amusement parks in/near your city/village/country;
* (former) Royal Families, including German Kaisars and Russian Czars;
* Harry Potter;
* Typical cultural things from your country (and please explain what they are);
* Country flags
* Maps of your country/city/state;
* Castles and palaces;
* Churches, cathedrals, chapels, abbeys and basilicas;
* If your are sending a card from the US, I really love the 'Greetings from' series (espesially National Parks). Please see my favourites for an example;
*Wonders of the world (sent from the country in which they lie), since one of my bucketlist things is to see them all.

What gives the card the finishing touch? A lot of text and beautiful poststamps :)

I would also be happy if you put the date of writing and temprature (in Celsius) on the card and maybe a quote close to your heart.

I am looking forward recieving your card. Thank you for sending me one!

Greetings from The Netherlands,
Pim

Ps If you happen to be on holiday I am also hapoy to receive a card from your destination instead of your home country.

If you are writing the card from Rome I really appreciate it if you are able to send it from Vatican City. It is a country close to my heart.

I really want to learn Spanish so if you are from a Spanish speaking country, olease feel free to write me in Spanish. English and German are fine too.

I am not particularly interested in anima photol, ad and quote cards.
