Hello, Dear Postcrosser!
My name is Elena. When I was a child, I collected stamps and postcards, so when I learned about postcrossing, I got excited and decided I should definitely try it.
My profession is languages. I learn them, teach them, study and translate different texts. I speak English and German, learning French, Italian and Chinese. Just started Spanish and Japanese. I think every language in the world is beautiful and fascinating in its own way. Also I would really appreciate it if you wrote a short quote or saying in your language (please, name the language or give the English translation if your letters are not latin or cyrillic).
One of my hobbies is reading, and maybe you could write what your favourite book is or what you are reading now.
I like films (sci-fi, drama etc), TV shows (Sherlock, Dr. Who, Torchwood, Merlin, Star Trek, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, Suits, White Collar, Hawaii Five-O, Asian dramas, anime, well... basically everything :) Please, write what you have recently watched ;)
Another hobby is art. I like to paint and draw, recently I have gotten very fond of zentangles and coloring books. Also, I love art books with famous masterpieces.

I am very new here, so I don't have set collections. I just love beautiful things like

- Zen (rock garden, bamboos etc)
- Keep Calm (or with inspirational quotes)
- Sherlock BBC, Kingsman, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, Suits (and all mentioned above), Winter Sonata 겨울연가 , Ice Fantasy 幻城
- beautiful people in fancy clothes (in traditional clothes, geishas/maikos, Chinese opera, fashion, fantasy princesses, celebrities in filming costumes and the like)
- Birthday in March :)
- original stamps (will bring me special pleasure)
