About Yury...

Hi, everyone! My name is Yury. I'm originally from Belarus, but now I live, study, and work in Ankara, Turkey's capital.

My interests: political science (which was my bachelor's major) and international relations, linguistics, sociology, anthropology, urban development. I love reading books, learning foreign languages, traveling by trains, watching movies, playing and watching tennis, and watching biathlon (skiing and shooting for those who have no idea what the hell is that:-), etc.

I prefer postcards without envelops.

I will be happy to receive postcards:

- with cityscapes, landscapes (especially sea and mountains) touristic views and famous touristic attractions,

-with maps,

-related to tennis tournaments in your countries (if such exist), tennis players, cards with the images of tennis courts, tennis equipment, etc.

- related to biathlon competitions held in your countries, famous biathletes, etc. (Leute aus Deutschland! Bitte, irgendwer, schick mir eine Karte mit Lena Neuner - Sie muss irgendwo existieren:-)

- modern architecture of the 20th century(especially from ex-communist countries)

For people from Russia - it would be nice to receive a postcard related to a region you live in (область, край, республика)

For people from Poland - it would be great to receive a multi-view card of your city/town/region

For people from the USA - I would be very happy to receive postcards related to your state

Please, don't send me postcards dedicated to holidays (Xmas, New Year, Easter, Valentine's Day etc) unless those are the only ones you've got.

I'm an atheist so I'm not that fond of cards with religious messages, blessings of any sort, etc. But the images of churches, mosques, synagogues, etc. are perfectly fine.

Regarding the message - feel free to write anything you want. A few words about yourself, for example.

It would be great to get some words on the post cards written in your native language, unless it's the one of the languages I speak - then please write the entire message in it.

For users from Ukraine - although I don't speak the Ukrainian language I pretty well understand it and I'm happy to receive postcards with messages written in Ukrainian.

For everyone, as far as I've experienced so far, the Turkish post is definitely not a fast one. Hence, sorry in advance if it takes a bit long for your card to reach me(
